Mission, Vision

Association "Local Action Group "Dryanovo  - Tryavna - in the Heart of the Balkan" is a non-governmental organization registered under the Non-Profit Legal Entities Act for carrying out activities in the public interest. The LAG covers all settlements within the two municipalities - Dryanovo and Tryavna, which are part of Gabrovo region. The LAG is situated on the northern slopes of the Central Balkan Mountains and covers an area of ​​504 km², of which Dryanovo Municipality - 248.5 km² and Tryavna Municipality - 255.5 km². To the north and to the east the territory borders with the municipality of Veliko Tarnovo, to the south with the municipalities of Kazanlak and Maglizh, to the west - with the municipalities of Sevlievo and Gabrovo.
 
The LAG include areas, listed in Annex 1 of Ordinance No 22 of 14 December 2015, and they are identified as a rural areas.
 
The Association contributes to the realization of the local needs and initiatives, following the principles of the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union and other funding programs for development of the territory in the spheres of: improvement of the quality of life and diversification of economic activities in rural areas through the development of services and business, providing opportunities for employment, overall and harmonious development of people, especially in villages and small settlements, helps to generate and realize new ideas by mobilizing is own resources, working with young people, promoting social inclusion and poverty reduction; implementing an integrated approach to the environment by preserving and preserving the environment and promoting resource efficiency, including risk prevention and management activities and the use of the potential of cultural heritage; focus on innovation by promoting their introduction into practice.
